Optotune develops and manufactures industry shaping active optical components that allow customers around the globe to innovate. Founded in 2008, we started out with our core technology of focus tunable lenses, which was inspired by the working principle of the human eye. Laser speckle reducers, 2D mirrors, tunable prisms and beam shifters are further additions to our product lines. Electrically tunable lenses

Within milliseconds, the focal length of our electrical lenses is tuned by applying a control current.
This unique principle enables the design of faster and more compact optical systems without complex mechanics.

Beam steering

For applications requiring large angular deflection Optotune provides innovative beam-steering technology. Our 2D mirrors allow for very large angles within a compact package at reasonable cost. Our tunable prism enables compact, lightweight solutions in transmission.


Laser speckle reducers

Our transmissive laser speckle reducer offers the most compact and reliable way to remove speckle noise.
Electroactive polymer actuators are used to oscillate a diffuser in its plane completely free of mechanics. 

Beam shifting

XPR-25

By tilting a glass window along two axes, Optotune's XPR® product shifts a beam precisely by several micrometers at up to 60Hz with high repeatability and long lifetme. Combined with a 0.47" DMD the resolution of projectors can be quadrupled from 1080p to 4K.
